Frequently Asked Questions
What is your fee structure?
Most transactions are done on a flat fee basis for cost certainty and to make sure we can be involved in every aspect without the risk of runaway fees.
In which countries does your firm have experience representing or advising clients?
We have experience coordinating the import and export process and working with parties across the globe, including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Portugal, Austria, Poland, Netherlands, Denmark, Cayman Islands, Qatar, India, Australia, China, Malta, Luxembourg, Norway, Ukraine, Malaysia, Spain, South Africa, San Marino, Morocco, United States of America, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Indonesia and Nigeria.
The vast majority of clients are U.S.-based, although we work with foreign clients on issues related to U.S. purchases or operational planning.
How do I own a plane with a partner?
There are two main options. The preferable way is usually a true "co-ownership" where each party owns an undivided interest in the aircraft, with their own unique ownership structures, all tied together with a "co-ownership agreement" that ties the parties together and governs the use, cost allocation, and disposition of the plane.
I’m going to set up an LLC for my plane. Is that okay?
A holdco LLC can be a great ownership vehicle, but a special purpose LLC may not operate the plane. Figuring out the owning entity (including which entity or person should own that holdco) is only one piece of the ownership structure, and if you stop there you are probably operating the plane in violation of FAA regulations.
How many transactions have you worked on?
As of early 2026, over 750, both new and pre-flown, involving every major business aircraft manufacturer (and some other rather obscure manufacturers!).
